WE ARE HIRING FOR OUR 2023 SEASON.

pOSITION: mATE

We are looking for motivated individuals who are interested in applying for the position of Mate on board Hesper. Our season begins in May, and ends in Mid October. The Mates position is a 5 day a week position, Wednesday through Sunday. There is room for more days if wanted to fill in our day sail schedule.

The Mate’s job on board during our Windjammer Expeditions is varied. They are responsible along with the Captain for guest safety, guiding guests through hikes, beach exploration, running the tender, and running the vessel. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to get real hands on time with a unique traditional vessel. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with the public and cultivating relationships with our clients.

This is a salaried position, with live-aboard available.

Position: Cook

We are looking for a cook/chef on board for our 2023 season. This is a excellent opportunity for a new Culinary Graduate to get hands on kitchen experience while utilizing great organization and menu skills. Applicants should be comfortable working on board a sailing vessel, and on deck when needed. Preference is given to applicants with sailing experience or those who wish to learn both ends of the boat.

This is a salaried position with liveaboard available.
